- Preheat oven at 200° top/bottom heat.
- For the batter, mix all the ingredients up to water with a spoon/spatula and add as little liquid as it forms a thick viscous batter.
- Pour batter into a wide coated form, or on a lined out baking tray. The batter shouldn't be higher than 1 cm high.
- Now coarsely grate the pear. Spread immediately on top of the batter. Scatter saffron and maple sirup on top.
- Place the pie in the oven. Bake for 30–45 min. until top is golden and batter is hard and crispy.
- Allow to cool on a rack. Cut into pieces and enjoy.

heavybelly! During winter time I occasionally eat cooked pears. Surely I shouldn't – I still try out fruits once in a while. If you’re prone to pollen allergy or/and fructose intolerance you have to decide yourself if you can digest this. I don’t recommend it (but mhhh).
