- Chop cauliflower into small chunks. Put them in a frying pan, add little water, one teaspoon sesame oil and little salt. Simmer with closed lid until vegetables are soft and tender. Make sure, all the liquid is dissolved. I recommend to fry them light golden at the end, as it enfolds a savory cheese like taste.
-
When done add the vegetables into a mini chopper or food processor, as we want to create a hummus-like texture. Also add tahini and if needed some water. Depending on your taste process it into a creamy or lightly chunky texture. Add more salt if needed and spread it on a plate.
- For the topping we heat the remaining teaspoon sesame oil, add black cumin and sesame seeds and fry them until popping. Sprinkle on top of the cauliflower hummus.
- Some also like to top with drops of tamarind paste and with sea salt flakes or black cumin oil.
